Naveen Goyal is an author who believes the ancient scriptures are not just books to be read, but maps to be lived.
Based in Kurukshetra, India – the land where the Bhagavad Gita was first spoken – Naveen draws directly on the spiritual heritage of the ground beneath him. His path to this work, though, began somewhere very different: a decade-long career in banking and finance, built on degrees from DA-IICT and IMT Ghaziabad. It was a career of numbers and certainty, but not of meaning.
The Journey Within
A transformative encounter with his Guru redirected the course of his life. Naveen turned from finance to the study and dissemination of Vedic wisdom, driven by a simple realization: the scriptures themselves are perfect, but the way they are taught has too often kept them out of reach.
A Growing Body of Work
That realization became a body of work now spanning nearly 80 titles across English and Hindi. Naveen has retold and written commentaries on the Vedas, the Puranas, the principal Upanishads, and the Bhagavad Gita, alongside the more demanding terrain of the Yoga Sutras and the radical non-dualism of the Avadhuta Gita and Ashtavakra Gita. Across all of it, his approach stays the same: strip away the archaic language and academic weight, and let the reader meet the text directly.
He writes not as a scholar addressing students, or a guru addressing disciples, but as a fellow traveler – someone a few steps further down the same road, sharing what he’s found.
